First and foremost, you must think about the design of your blog. It’s got to fit in with the theme of your site too. For example, having a blog about fashion and having the design full of animals won’t make sense for your reader.
Statistically, viewers decide if they are going to read anything on your blog within the first few seconds of viewing your homepage. So, make sure it’s a killer!
Having a picture of yourself on your landing page is a fantastic way of making your blog more personal to your readers. This is because as they’re reading your content and seeing your picture, they get a better idea of what kind of person you are.
2. Make it Easier to Share on Social Media
Secondly, having social media sharing buttons on every page is essential. That way, if someone likes the content that they have stumbled across, then they can easily share it.
Social media is the most powerful tool you can use to get your name and content around. It’s super easy to do, and some bloggers have found fame for their blogs through the use of it too. The only downside, is promoting yourself on social media can be very time consuming. Luckily, there are applications that you can use to schedule posts so that you don’t have to be at your computer all day long.
3. Incorporate SEO Elements Consciously
Another great way to get blog posts of yours seen, is to start incorporating the use of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to your blog posts and pages.
If you are hosting from a platform like WordPress, there are many plugins you could use to help you with this. Do your research and find out what people search for within your writing niche and use these in your writing, your titles and your keywords section. Add as many keywords as you can (without it seeming spammy) and you will notice the amount of views you receive rise.
4. Focus on Your Niche
Aiming your writing at a specified target audience will also attract those people in. There’s no way that you can write to please everyone, so aim to satisfy your target audience first.
It’s very important to define your niche. Your will end up nowhere if you don’t know who your target audience is. Work out who you’re writing for and you will see the interest rise.
Above all, it’s advisable that you go along with things that you’re passionate about. As it’s within an area that you can likely to have long discussions on, or even lead to another blog post.
Hope the suggestions above could shed some light in helping you to increase your blog views from now on!
